Ladies and Gentlemen
The Rolling Stones
To family, friends and other long time visitors to Hollreiser.com it comes as little surprise to learn that it was my distinct pleasure to attend the Rolling Stones performances at Madison Square Garden and Giants Stadium September 13th and 15th respectively.

The MSG show marked the 20th performance there by the Stones over the course of their 40+ year career. It also marked the 6th time that I've seen them perform there since my first time in 1975. Since the Voodoo Lounge tour in 1993, I've also attended at least 6 Rolling Stones performances at Giant Stadium, with a wide variety of friends and relatives.

I had taken the following pictures at the Giants Stadium show on the 15th. Place your mouse over most pictures and double-click to enlarge the photo.

I hope that you enjoy scrolling through these so put on a Stones CD, it's only rock and roll!
This is a zoom on the giant scree, during the part of the concert when Mick Jagger takes a break. Typically Keith Richards sings 2 songs at the mid way mark before Mick returns to the stage.
This is the view from the end zone that I was standing in. Even though there were seats to be sat in most of the time at a Stones show is spent on your feet.
... upon Mick's return, the band clusters up  in front of drummer Charlie Watts. While performing "Miss You", a small sub-stage is lifted up and slowly crosses from one end zone to the other.
Although the band is far away at this point, over the next few photos you'll notice that the stage seems to be getting larger in the bottom of the pictre frame. That's because it is indeed...
And so you'll now see that the fans on the stadium floor become excited as the Stones slowly pass by. Meanwhile we luckies in the front of the end zone are about to be treated to a rare rock and roll superstar close encounter of the third kind.
The two gals flanking the dude with the top hat are in the 1st fow of section 13. I'm 2 rows behind them and we all are starting to flip out!
HOLY SH*T!
The Rolling Stones are standing right above and in front of me!!!
I've been walking in Central Park, singing after dark donch'a think that A'hhmm crrrraaaaazzzeeee????
This is the ticket that allowed me to take these
